We welcome applications to become part of our association of interested academics and practitioners in the field of democracy studies from different countries and disciplines.
DemocracyNet offers its members a structure that facilitates collaboration and team-work on academic and transfer activities, and promotes their research. Members can, among other things,
- Organize their own academic or transfer projects in democracy studies in the name of and with the structure of DemocracyNet
- Join the organization teams on ongoing projects and participate in their development and implementation
- Benefit from exchange of information on academic and related events and of experience-base knowledge among members and stay in ongoing communication via online tools (intranet, mailing list, calender)
- Gain visibility for their research, events, and other activities thanks to our webpage, facebook page, and mailing lists
Members can remain passive or take an active role in the association (managing board or task management).
DemocracyNet does not provide funding, but a formal structure that facilitates the organization of various kinds of projects and collaborations. The organization of events and the functioning of the association takes place on a voluntary basis.
The membership fee is adjusted on a yearly basis. The membership fee 2022 is CHF 15.00. It is a minimal contribution used to cover the costs for the basic functioning of the association.
