Betreff: International PPE Conference at University of Witten/Herdecke

Dear Team of DemocracyNet,

My name is Laura Kleemann and I am a PPE student at the University of Witten/Herdecke, the oldest private university of Germany. I am contacting you today as part of the Philosophy, Politics and Economics community of students and academics worldwide.
I’m writing this email on behalf of the team of the 6th International PPE Conference, a non-profit scientific and internationally oriented conference on socially relevant topics in the fields of Philosophy, Politics and Economics. Every year we pick a current and pressuring topic and discuss it from an interdisciplinary perspective with academics and experts from all around the world.
We are pleased that among our supporters for this year’s conference is once again the Institute for New Economic Thinking based in New York city, which promotes research and projects in the field of heterodox economics.
This year, the theme of our conference is "Rethinking the State: Democracy between Order and Chaos" and it will address the difficulties modern democracies have faced in the last years under the pressures of populism, growing climate change concerns and the Chinese economic and social model. The event will take place from the 17th to the 19th of September 2021 in the halls of our university or also online in a hybrid event.
Since our conference builds on international exchange, as well as active discussions, we would like to ask you as a member of the platform DemocracyNet whether you could promote this event in your community helping us in creating a stimulating environment between young and young-at-heart people who are interested in an active discourse on political, economic and ethical topics.
