Dear colleagues,
The International Political Science Association (IPSA) and the *International
Political Science Abstracts <https://journals.sagepub.com/home/iab>* seek
articles for the journal's *Trends in International Political Science* rubric.
Every year, *International Political Science Abstracts* receives over
30,000 articles from around the globe, providing us with an unparalleled
access to articles published in and around our discipline. Trends seeks to
build on this material, determining six burgeoning currents in political
science, and publishing articles written by leading experts on these
trending topics. We provide a bibliography and seek articles of
approximately 3500-4000 words, taking into account a bibliography we provide
. After the revision process, the Trends article is then published as the
first chapter of each bi-monthly issue of the *International Political
Science Abstracts* and distributed to libraries around the world in both
print and database editions. The project has been a great success, in some
cases leading to over 12,000 downloads within 18 months of publication.
We are currently soliciting authors to write articles on the following
subjects:
1) Elite behavior in authoritarian regimes;
2) Regime change;
3) Proxy wars;
4) Politics of Intersectionality;
5) Deglobalization
If you are interested in writing an article in English on one of these
topics, we ask that you please send an email to express your interest
by *August
1 2025* to Trends.IPSA at gmail.com with copy to Stephen Sawyer <
ssawyer at aup.edu <ssawyer at aup.edu>> and Daniel Stockemer <
daniel.stockemer at uottawa.ca >. Kindly include a CV that highlights your
expertise (i.e., publications, teaching or research). We will contact
selected authors with the relevant article titles and abstracts and expect
a first draft of the *Trends* article by *November 10, 2025*.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or need any
further information.
