Subject: [PHILOS-L] CORRECTION: 5-year PhD Position (with Assistantship) in Political Theory, University of Lausanne

Dear all,

Our research unit at the University of Lausanne is looking for a new PhD student to join us!

The position comes with assistantship duties and offers a contract that can be extended for up to 5 years. The prospective doctoral assistant will work with Professor Sandrine Baume on the topic of "the relationship between democracy and the life cycle (e.g. old age or youth)", either in political theory or the history of political ideas. We welcome all thesis proposals that are connected to the proposed theme. The position requires only proficiency in English, but knowledge of French would be an appreciated bonus.

The deadline for applications ends on February 15, with an expected start date of April 1st 2026 (or another date to be agreed upon).

Applications should include:

  *   A cover letter;
  *   A curriculum vitae;
  *   Copies of academic diplomas;
  *   A research paper (Master’s thesis, seminar paper, conference paper, or other scholarly publication);
  * A brief presentation of a doctoral thesis project (2 pages) related to the announced theme.

Applications must be made through the following link: https://career5.successfactors.eu/career?career%5fns=job%5flisting&company=universitdP&navBarLevel=JOB%5fSEARCH&rcm%5fsite%5flocale=en%5fUS&career_job_req_id=22614&selected_lang=en_US&jobAlertController_jobAlertId=&jobAlertController_jobAlertName=&browserTimeZone=Europe/Zurich&_s.crb=WbqwQo4oZj1musvW9d7Hhgl%2fsAySYWoungYDdKqitpk%3d
