The most renowned advocate of the unconditional basic income will talk about “Justice, democracy and the unconditional basic income” – an extremely relevant topic for current Swiss politics, since the citizens of Switzerland will vote to accept or reject the introduction of an unconditional basic income in 2016.

Van Parijs’ presentation will be followed by a critical comment and discussion with the economist Reiner Eichenberger (University of Fribourg). The event will be moderated by the journalist Philipp Löpfe.

The floor will then be opened for the questions of the audience. An apéro will be served after the event.

Time: 6.30 – 8.00 p.m.
Place: Main building of the University of Zurich, Rämistrasse 71, room KOH-B-10

The event is co-organized by DemocracyNet.eu and Institut Zukunft.
With the generous support of UZH Graduate Campus.
